We are excited to announce the opening of the Live House “GIGABAR TOKYO” in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. “GIGABAR TOKYO” features a ground-breaking system where guests can, on request, join the house band as vocals, guitar, bass, or drums. GIGABAR’s house band is made up of professional musicians and boasts a song repertoire of more than 200 songs ranging from 70s & 80s classic rock to the latest rock and pop music.
The Minami Aoyama location was originally the site of 0830 (Eight-thirty) which closed in June of this year. Since then, the premises have undergone a complete interior renewal and the menu and amenities have been expanded and enriched in preparation for the September 1st grand opening.
Interaction through music is an experience that transcends both generation and nationality providing a moving experience through the instantaneous art form that is live performance (GIG). While GIG and BAR = “GIGABAR TOKYO”, we hope that our venue will become the place to exchange information creating a new Tokyo music scene and thus becoming a preferred spot for musicians and music fans alike.
